My main hope is that the defense will improve over 4 years to become more powerful, and we can get some new strikers to replace the oft-injured Altidore, the underwhelming Wondolowski, and unreliable Donovan.
The US defense will be much more improved. John Brooks who scored the GW goal against Ghana will be 25 in the next WC and he's already a standout playing for his club, Hertha BSC, in Germany. He'll most likely be our best Defensive player on the backline.

There is also Erik Palmer Brown who plays for Sporting Kansas City in the MLS. He's raw (only 17) but super talented. Just recently, Juventus of Italy, wanted to buy him but Kansas City declined.

We have alot of other young talent that is being looked at from the European clubs, especially the big time clubs. It's only a matter of time before we are one of the elites in the world.
