Nice, I wouldn't mind seeing that Super Bowl - it'd surely be more entertaining than last season's.

Houston at 10-6 doesn't seem possible

Why not? They went 12-4 in 2012.

if you look at each and every season over past several years you will see a team that was one of the worst and becomes one of the best the following season. KC is an example last year. They went from 2 wins in 2012 to 11 or so and the playoffs in one season.. It happens. And as "Flip" already pointed out they were recently a 12-4 team and have a lot of the same players so for them to make a turn around wouldn't be as surprising as KC doing it. They had the talent and it was ready to pop last season

Allanta was another of OPs choices to rebound to 10-6 for same reason.. They also were a very good team in 2012 and fell flat on their face last year due to a ton of injuries to top players.. So them rebounding also would not surprise many
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!

who's their starting QB?.. Teams that go 12-4 usually have a really good starting QB

We're talking 10-6, not 12-4. The Chiefs have done that with Cassel, the Vikings with Ponder, the Bucs with Freeman, the Jets with Sanchez... Ryan Fitzpatrick is presumably the week 1 starter, and he's decent enough. It all depends on whether or not the Texans can get their D and running game back.

Personally, I'm thinking around 7-9 for them, but I really wouldn't be surprised if they click and make a run. It happens too often with teams configured the way they are.

As far as I know it'll be Ryan Fitzpatrick. In 2012, Matt Schaub was the starter on that 12-4 team. Many would not consider him a really good starting QB. I think Fitzpatrick will be just fine.
