Payback and Karma are funny things (GB Related)

After we blew the big lead to philly to blow that game with 8m left38-31. We played another team fighting for a playoff spot. The GB Packers. We pretty much both had to win that game to make the playoffs a loss meant going home.. We had the final game vs redskins but by then it was too late with the back to back crushing defeats to Eagles and GB. Anyway we came in saying we were okay with the blown game and would focus on beating the packers to make the playoffs. </P>


Just the opposite happened as we were destroyed 45-17. We went home after beating the Skins the folllowing week with a 10-6 record and no playoffs due to those two losses. The packers as we know were the HOT team that just got in by having to win their last 2or3 games (like we did this year) just to get in.
When they got in as 6th seed they continued on their Hot streak and became a team of Destiny as a Road team like both the Giants and Steelers have both done. </P>


That was then. This year PAY BACK WAS SWEET as we sent the 1Loss Packers PACKING...</P>


What a turnaround from that 45-17 loss. We totally DOMINATED them on both sides of ball and the score was only as close as it was due to several bad calls. Other wise the loss is prob worse then the spanking they put on us. </P>


We did this to a team that started that win streak with that victory over us and went i think 19 in a row over final week of 10, Playoffs and firsr 13 of this season till KC beat them. then they won 2 more to close season. SO we beat a team that had won 21of22 games. LOL</P>


Would of been nicer and more SHOCKING had they been 22 out of 22 and we halted another unbeaten streak.</P>

Patriots had won 5of6 prior to the 18-0 Run. They won their last 3games of the 2006 season and the WC and Divisional Rounds of the Playoffs before falling to the Colts (after leading 21-3) in the AFC CG. </P>


SO when we beat the unbeaten Pats they had won 23of24...</P>

I think that streak was 20 games without a loss

As much as I loved the Packer win this week, it wasn't dominating. It was a very close game into the final quarter. Yes they got some calls but they also dropped way too many passes. We played well, and yes even better than the Packers but it wasn't dominating. It was a well coached and well played game. We will need another well coached and finely executed game to win next week. I'm confident we can, but scared too. Packers were a great team this year that didn't play their best when it counted.

Let's not get crazy and think we dominated though.

I really hope we dont play you guys again next season. We always get owned. Next year will probably be no different. In GB we always lose to you guys. It hurt even worse this time then last time.
