Toomer was on the radio yesterday!!

And he stated that Eli is twice the QB today than he was in 07. He said in 07 Eli was surrounded by a great running game, great O-line, great defense, very good special teams, and a bunch of weapons on offense and was only asked not to lose games. That 07 Eli wouldn't have been able to carry this current team the way 2011-2012 Eli has.

This season Eli has carried the team on his back and he is way more accurate then before putting the ball in spots in which his receivers can make plays after the catch. Said Eli has exceeded his expectations to what he thought he would be when he was his wide receiver.

IMO I think though that the recievers we have today are just flat out quicker and better YAC play makers then the ones we had in 07, 08 and even 09( thx to Cruz)though. Before Eli the WR corp was more in the possession mold with Burress, Toomer, Smith. Now with Nicks, Cruz, Manningham you have 3 play makers that turn 20 into 60.
