MAYOR BLOOMBERG AND SAN FRANCISCO MAYOR LEE MAKE FRIENDLY
    WAGER ON GIANTS-49ERS PLAYOFF GAME

    Mayor Encourages
New Yorkers to Wear Blue on Friday

    Winning
Team Will Be Represented on Local Landmark in Losing City; Winning City Will
    Also Receive Local Delicacies

Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and San
Francisco Mayor Edwin M. Lee today announced a friendly wager on the upcoming
NFC Championship game between the Giants and 49ers. The game will take place on
Sunday, January 22 in San Francisco. The Mayor will again be wearing blue on
Friday to support the Giants as part of “Big Blue Friday,” and
hopes all New Yorkers will do the same.

If the Giants win, Mayor Lee will drape
an iconic San Francisco cable car in Giants flags and will send classic
sourdough bread to New York City.

If the 49ers win, Mayor Bloomberg
will rename 49th Street in Manhattan as “49ers Street.”
He will also send a dozen New York bagels, from Bagel Oasis in Queens, to San
    Francisco.

    “Just
like Hakeem Nicks ran right past the Packers’ secondary, the Giants are
going to breeze by the 49ers on their way to the Super Bowl,” said Mayor
Bloomberg. “After Sunday, Niners fans will be left with a taste as sour
as their famous bread, and the Giants will have their sights set on another
    trophy.”

    “49ers fever is sweeping our
City and the entire Bay Area region, and we are so proud of our hometown
team,” said Mayor Lee. “So while I’m excited to make this bet
with Mayor Bloomberg, we have no intention of losing. We’re going all the
way to the Super Bowl. The Giants will have to leave their hearts and their
Super Bowl hopes in San Francisco. Go Niners!”

Could care less. Bloomberg only likes the Giants when the Jets arent in it anymore.

Bloomberg is a putz who I guarantee wouldn't know the difference between a prevent defense and an all out blitz. A real phoney with annoying, whiney voice. His lynching of Burress was a total political move.
