Yes ST creates field advantages and points that changes coaching decisions.

ST is as important as offense or defense.

Youll know if you ever tried creating a team, i have!

And in this alternate universe, offense plays no part? That's probably the only way 9ers have a chance.

I think the Giants are not as reliant on special teams as the 49ers because they have such a good third down conversion rate.

One of the reason the 49ers have won so many games this season is because our special teams can not only return the ball for good field position, but we make the other team march at least 80 yards for a touchdown (which burns time off the clock, favoring defensive strengths), regularly put the ball on the five yard line, and rarely miss field goals from under 50 yards.

Special teams is not necessarily that important when Green Bay plays the Saints (unless it comes down to a field goal at the end) because it is basically a shootout. Playing a good defensive team like the 49ers or the Ravens, special teams are often the key to victory.

ST is going to be a key this Sunday, who ever wins will rely on ST.

I know that have better special teams in general. You do have a good kick returner but he is hurt.

Yep that's why I am glad we have an advantage with out punter (if it comes to that) being able to pin your butts down deep everytime
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!
