Looking back at the game in the middle of the season, I'm not too worried about this game as long as we limit our own mistakes. SF is a sound team of ball-strippers that limits their own mistakes.
We are more talented, we've been through our own battles this year, and we're mentally tough. Limit our own mistakes and let our own talent take us to the super bowl.
1) Protect the ball at all costs.
2) Ball protection over YAC.
3) Eyes on the ball: Secure the ball first and then worry about running. When going up to make a catch, be prepared for the big hit since your exposed.
4) INTs: Throw it away or take the sack instead of throwing in traffic if window is not clear.
Point being that a big part of SF is their own soundness and waiting for the other team to make mistakes that they can capitalize on. Just LIMIT the mistakes because the Giants are more talented and that talent will win the game. I also hope that we'll be going crazy trying to rip the ball out of their own carriers when tackling them. Giants did a GREAT job of popping the ball out of the hands of the GB players.
Hold onto the ball, punt the ball if necessary and force them to drive down field instead of taking risky chances. Limit our own mistakes and our talent will win out. I believe that TC preached that this week and the Giants will turn the ball over very little -- just like they have over the past 4 games.
