49ers tight end Vernon Davis is throwing an after-party at a San Francisco nightclub following the conclusion of the NFC Championship game on Sunday.

Giants fans likely won’t take kindly to the news -- on the surface it seems like Davis already figures the Niners will win -- but Manor West claims it is “a celebration of the entire 49ers season.”

“This event is not an attempt by anyone to predict victory on Sunday and we all have our fingers crossed and our hearts on our sleeves in solidarity with Niner fans everywhere that this will indeed be more than just an after party for the NFC championship game but also a Super bowl pre-party. if the football Gods are not on our side this weekend we will still remain proud, determined and hopeful for the seasons ahead. The future is bright. Go Niners !!!!!!” the nightclub posted on its website.

Manor West confirmed to the San Jose Mercury News that the event is indeed real.

Tickets to the event are $20 with a $1.68 fee and can be purchased on the nightclub’s website.

Yep another thread put up yesterday morn on this. Had pics of the tickets and everything posted in that thread
Football has been very, very good to us.
Even though 2013 was a losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

    Let's make it 5 in 2014 !!!

[/quote]He will need people to console him. Why do you think he is throwing a party? It is a pity party!

I think it's safe to say regardless of the result this Sunday, VD will be crying for some inexplicable reason.

    updated lol....

Niners' Davis no longer playing host to postgame party

    Published: Jan. 21, 2012 at 03:39 p.m.

On second thought, Vernon Davis won't be hosting an after-party following Sunday's NFC Championship Game against the New York Giants.

    Darlington: San Francisco treats
Everyone knows Patrick Willis and Vernon Davis, but Jeff Darlington calls attention to the 49ers' impressive group of homegrown underdogs. More ...
The San Francisco 49ers star tight end, who staked his place in team lore with last weekend's game-winning touchdown catch against the New Orleans Saints, surrendered hosting duties for a postgame party at a popular San Francisco dance club, the Bay Area News Group reported Friday. The party gained national attention when the story was picked up by the New York Daily News earlier that day.

The club told the Daily News that the party was not a sign of overconfidence on the part of the 49ers.

"We've been getting a little bit of fuss about it and that's not what it is at all," club spokesman Jamie Burwood told the newspaper. "It's not a victory party. It's a party celebrating the 49ers' season for making it so far. The party is going on win or lose. Vernon Davis will be there win or lose."

Now that Davis is off the party-planning committee, however, Niners fans no longer have to worry about any potential jinxes. It should be noted that Davis hosted a similar shindig following last week's win, and Niners coach Jim Harbaugh didn't seem bothered by Davis' intentions at the time.

"What our guys say and do, I trust," Harbaugh said before Davis withdrew his name as host.

Funny how the Niners get called the Whiners but the entire Giants fanbase gets upset over something as silly as this.
