This year is NOTHING like 2007 (LOL)

There's another thread that was started before the Jets game about how this season has mirrored 2007. Though I know its obviously a different year and a different team and things are slightly different, COME ON!

    This is ridiculous. The Giants
going on to play the Patriots in the super bowl after kicking a game
winning field goal on the road in a very hard faught overtime victory verse the #2 seed.

Whatever happens...AWESOME season. I dunno if threads get auto-deleted after time but I had 2 very "uninteresting" threads started after the Seattle game and the first 49ers game about how this team is special and still learning. This sentiment was echoed by Trent Dilfer (..i know, i know...BSPN...AND Trent lol) who stated that Coughlin and Belichick both realize that these players are all developmental and young with how free agency is etc.

We are special. In fact. We're super. Hopefully more super than the Patriots, but we shall see. I ****ing LOVE this!

    Go Big Blue.

I loved the 2007 team, but this season was defnitely more of a wild season

started of 6-2, had a bad stertch, beat an nfc south team, then the number 1 overall seed, then the number 2 overall seed on a field goal in overtime, now the pats in the super bowl
    I can see some similarities

No question. A lot of the similarities are just too bizarre though. I know in the thread I mention in my OP the Redskins game was in the same week and was almost the same score. The next week we play an AFC East team and Bradshaw's running propelled us to victory.

Like I said, clearly different years, but there are a TON of eerily similar things. One would have to be blind not to see it...

Exactly. Sure it was more wild but the little plays, and situations that happened this year was very similar. Road games, doubts, underdogs, field goal, bad weather, and even the American idol winner as the national anthem singer, It's just crazy.

We've had a helmet catch in the playoffs, 2012 Nicks Hail Mary vs GB, and of course Tyree's, in 2008. Lost in the regular season 38-35 to the best team in the regular season, then beat them in playoffs.

Ooooooo.....that's a good one! How about a dominante performance by a WR in the Championship game too? I know Plax went off a little more than Cruz, but he still killed it!
