SB history favors loser of regular season rematch

Last 3 teams to lose in reg season all came back to win in the SB including giants win over Pats in 07.

However giants are one of the teams that beat a team and came back and won SB. Beat Bills 19-16 during yr and 39-20 SB in 86 season
Football has been very, very good to us.
In the midst of this losing season, we can console ourselves with this fact-

    # of Super Bowl victories since 1985:

1-Chicago, St. Louis, Tampa Bay, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Seattle
2-Washington, Green Bay, Denver, Pittsburgh, Baltimore
    3-San Francisco, Dallas, New England
    4-New York Giants!!!!!

However. Giants are best overall in rematches in wins or losses all time......

Correct me if I am wrong but in the 3 games we played against teams we beat in regular yr, we are 3-0 winning rematch in playoffs or SB everytime

And in the 7 games we played in which we lost in regular season we came back and won all the rematches so 7-0

That's 10-0 overall. Check it out if u wish!!!

We've done a lot of "firsts" this year like Patriots and Packers at home, no offensive points for Falcons, etc. Stats and trends, to me, don't play a huge part in playing the game and I am looking forward to a real good game on February.

    Break down 2011
Beat Pats 24-20 in reg yr and ??? In SB

Screw history, this team represents the FUTURE.

The NY Giants are already in Brady'spretty little head.

Besides, history said no team that ranked 25th or lower on offense or defense never wins the superbowl. Well now its got to change and the Giants ranked 27th and Pats ranked 31st on D.

Championship Game history favors teams with a better than 9-7 regular season record

we've been known to buck a few trends

if theres one thing i've learned about this giants team its that "trends" as RF put it bear no relevance on how this team will perform is the trend is against them.

i do love how we're undefeated in NFCCG and 4-1 in SB tho.

    Breakdown 1990
Lost to SF 7-3 then beat em 15-13 in CG so 1-0
Lost to Bills 17-13 then won 20-19 in SB so 2-0
    Breakdown 2007
Lost to Dallas twice in reg yr then won 21-17 so 3-0
Lost to GB 35-13 then won CG 23-20 OT so 4-0
Lost to Pats 38-35 then won SB 17-14 so 5-0
    Breakdown 2011
Lost to GB 38-35 then won 37-20 so 6-0
Lost to SF 27-20 then won CG 20-17 so 7-0
