Season ticket increase of around 4% for all NYG season ticket holders.

I just received the e-mail stating this today.

    From the e-mail:

Your 2017 season ticket invoice is now available online and for those of you who continue to receive your invoice by mail, you will receive your printed copy in the near future.

Please note the changes to the season ticket invoice regarding the pricing of your tickets. For most of you, this is the first overall increase to your season ticket pricing since we moved into MetLife Stadium in 2010. The average increase for 2017 is 4%. You will receive more details regarding your 2017 season tickets shortly.

I kind of figured it would happen when they had an 11-5 season.

I got the notice despite selling my PSL's and tickets last month. This is the first time in my entire life that my family no longer has season tickets. We've been going since the Yankee Stadium days. I just don't enjoy going as much anymore for many reasons. The commute. Crappier seats. The tickets prices, parking prices, concession prices, PSL's etc. I also have a 70" 4K HDTV which I enjoy watching the games on. We had 4 tickets in the other stadiums, but I gave up two with the move to MetLife. Now I just gave up the final 2. I'm kinda sad, but I had a good run. It's no longer difficult getting single game tickets, so I'll still catch a few games a year.

Our tickets go back to 1943. I saw my first game in '68 at the Yale Bowl.
There was a time I went to every game, but now they are spread among family members and I go to 1 or 2 a year now.
    Hate the new stadium.

I was born in 1965. I believe my father originally got the seats in the 50"s. The first game I remember going to was in Yankee Stadium around 1970. I remember going to Yale Bowl and Shea too. I was at probably 95% of all the games ever played at Giants' Stadium. I really hate the new stadium too. I was priced out of my lower tier seats. Other than the 4 HD screens, there's nothing about MetLife I like better than GS.

Yes... only thing I like are the large screens.
Our tix qualified us to get the $20K seats at Met Life.... hahahaha, $40,000 for PSL's on 2 seats? Nope, sorry.
We opted for the small section... 4 rows of seats below the 3rd tier and above the 2nd. Not a bad view. Only $5K each.
Born in Jamaica, Queens in '46, I moved to CT from '68 to '75... so I saw every preseason and regular season games played at Yale Bowl.. Then I moved to NJ in 1975, so the Meadowlands was perfect.
