    Shaun O'Hara: "Giants 3rd Round Pick of Webb A WASTE"

    I disagree. He has a point, but we got value in Webb. Every QB in this draft was considered "developmental." Webb has all the physical traits, and again, Philly and LA traded a king's ransom last year for Goff and Wentz, and basically traded a lot of their future to the Browns.

    Look at the Brown's freaking haul irrespective of their poor season to garner their high status. KC, Houston, and Trubisky traded a lot...A LOT for similar prospects. We got him in the 3rd, and I would argue Bisnowaty is arguably just as raw as anyone we would've picked in the 3rd Round. We still have a strong team, and we can still get an Olineman from cuts/FA. I'd rather grab a QB ahead of time instead of hoping for a bad season and high pick slot matching with a good QB class or being forced to trade multiple picks and a second 1st Rounder to trade up for a QB. We traded a lot for Eli, but now moving up costs even more. Worth the risk in my opinion.

    He said it out of frustration. Like all of us who can't believe Jerry took so long to pick a OLman after not doing anything last year. The result killed our offense.
    Spin that Webb young Davis

    Eli was his QB. Of course he is gonna back him up. I agree with him but OHara was also the guy that said the Colts should not have drafted Andrew Luck, so take his opinion with a grain of salt.

    After watching that, his comments don't surprise me. He would think ANY QB taken in any round would be a waste.

    Luck has had one of the worst teams around him in the league. Bottom 5 roster each year. And he has taken that team to the playoffs. Luck is an absolute stud.

    When a team has an Orangutan making the picks, what do you expect?

    While I wouldn't have picked a QB in the 3rd round, I'm not going to call Webb a 'wasted pick'. Considering that JR talked about Eli being in the back nine of his career and looking at possible successors it's clear that he's seriously thinking about the future at QB. Any team with a QB that's 35 or older should be drafting QBs to try and groom for the future. Whether Webb turns into a future franchise QB or another Nassib who gets shown the door remains to be seen.
    One of these teams is not like the others

    I wouldn't call it a waste but eli is still that guy if you ask me. So I hope this guy sits behind eli and learns and develops but I also hope eli wins 3 more rings and webb doesn't start for us until eli hangs up his cleats.

    I wrote after the combine that Engram was entering the first-round discussion, and I've moved him above David Njoku as my second-ranked tight end. He put up the best 40 time (4.42) among tight ends and the fourth-best vertical (36 inches) at the combine. At 6-3, 234, Engram had 65 catches for 925 yards and eight touchdowns in 2016.

    We need to win now, but I also want to avoid going through the Dave brown Danny kennel years again. So 3rd round on a guy they think can be the future is ok in my book
    LT (132.5) -> Strahan (141.5) -> Osi (65) -> Tuck (60.5) -> JPP (50) -> ???
