Giants | Terrell Thomas starting to run
    Wed, 08 Feb 2012 14:13:10 -0800

New York Giants impending free-agent CB Terrell Thomas (knee) said his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament is about three weeks ahead of schedule and he has started to run. He plans on jumping and cutting on the knee in the near future. He said he does not have a timetable to return to the field but wants to be ready for Week 1.

Id love to see him back but there's no way Id overpay. He's had waaaay too many injuries to warrant a long term deal. Id offer him and Goff Kiwi-type contracts and if they prove that theyre healthy then they get locked up long term.

With T2 and Ross both being FA's I can see us looking at 2ndary in the draft this season along with TE, RT, RB (if Jacobs walks)

Would definitely bring him back in for the right price - hopefully a short-term incentive-laden deal that rewards him for health/performance. Even with the knees he's a slot guy potentially and might even be someone you could convert to a safety down the road (and/or play the role that Grant did).

The way he finished the season I'd strongly consider Ross too but his price is probably going to be too high. He's not a #1 corner but he showed he's better than average and in this league there are so many teams needing CB.

    Prince's turn...

sad and mean to say, but you could argue that in retrospect it worked out for the Giants that he got hurt ... now his price tag is lower and we won the Super Bowl without him

here's to hoping he recovers fully and we get a nice cap break
